What is the Future for Education?

Are you concerned about diminishing school funding, shortage of school places, teacher recruitment and retention and the employment of unqualified teachers in our schools? Are you afraid that your local school may be forced to become an academy whether you like it or not? Do you worry that we may be concentrating too much on standardised tests at the expense of a vibrant and exciting curriculum for our children?

Please come along and discuss what sort of education we want for the next generation.

Calling all parents, school governors, teachers and headteachers to a Public Meeting:

7pm, Monday 23rd May

Council Chamber, Derby Council House, DE1 2FS

Supported by:  Councillor Sarah Russell – Cabinet Member for Schools and Education, Derby City Council
