Support the Junior Doctors

The Derby 38 Degrees group, in partnership with Keep Our NHS Public (KONP) and Derby Peoples Assembly, are holding a candlelight vigil at the
Royal Derby Hospital Get Directions
Wednesday 11th November from 5 till 6 pm
We will bringing candles and do some petitioning – which you can sign electronically by clicking here –  and we will also have the 38 Degrees ambulance. (The photo above shows the ambulance from the wonderful Leeds demonstration ten days ago).The Junior Doctors are incensed with the offer through the media from Jeremy Hunt: you can see some of theirarguments here on the BMA site.Their dispute impacts upon our battle to Save the NHS. In other words if the Junior Doctors lose we all lose!

Support the College Lecturers

Lecturers in FE Colleges across the country will be out on strike tomorrow Tuesday 10th November. Lecturers in FE have seen large real-term reductions in pay over the last few years and now employers are refusing any pay rise at all.

There will be pickets at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Roundhouse – show support on the pickets if you can or send support messages to the UCU regional
