This year, the Tories are planning to abolish maintenance grants for the poorest students going to university.
Students are going to revolt.
We want to see an education system that is free from student fees – an accessible public service, run for the good of everyone in society.

Politics in Britain is changing. There’s something new in the air.
People power is back on the agenda.
Ideas that have been dismissed for decades – like the idea that education should be a right enjoyed by everyone, free and accessible to all – are now mainstream.
But at the same time, the government is pushing everything backwards. They’re planning to cut maintenance grants for the poorest students, pushing us into even more debt.

Research by the National Union of Students has shown that a third of students would never have gone to university without these grants.
We have a duty and a responsibility to fight the Tories’ policies and fight for our own vision for society.

Free education isn’t just a pipe dream. We can win.

That is why we need you to take a stand.

On November 4th, thousands upon thousands of students and supporters will be marching in London.
