The Tories will be coming to Manchester and taking over the city centre with exclusion zones, security fences & walls of steel. The People’s Assembly is organising a series of actions, protests, demonstrations, political meetings & cultural events every single day the Tories are there – we want to Take Back Manchester!
It’s going to be big!
Coaches have been booked fromall across the country to attend the National Demonstration on Sunday 4 October. Over 1,700 have booked up for the ‘People’s Post’ rally and over 1,300 for the Beat Back! gig – both on the Monday evening. The ‘Welcome to Manchester’ party on Saturday 3rd at the People’s History museum is about to sell out & the ‘Laugh them Out of Town’ comedy gig has nearly 1,000 people booked to attend. This just gives a snapshot of what is about to be a massive week for the campaign against austerity – make sure you can look back and say “I was there!”
We’ve organised cheap accommodation for those coming from outside Manchester at £2 per night
(The accommodation is located very close to the assembly point of the national demonstration on Sunday 4 October so if you’re travelling up by coach you can drop your stuff off before the demonstration leaves)
This Government continues to cut spending, sell off and privatise our vital services & attack the poorest and most vulnerable in society. After over five years of austerity, the gap between rich and poor has grown – it’s clear the Tories priority is making the majority pay for a crisis they had nothing to do with while those at the top have gotten richer.
We need to make sure the Tories are met with mass opposition. If you want to see a society run in the interests of the majority and not the few at the top – join us to Protest the Tory Party Conference & Take back Manchester!
Make sure you keep checking the timetable with events being added and updated everyday & do look out for events that require booking.
