http://www.abc.net.au/rn/worldwarone Alice Wheeldon was a pacifist, a suffragette and an anti-war activist. In 1917, she was imprisoned for taking part in a plot to poison the then Prime Minister Lloyd George. Wheeldon’s family, including her great-granddaughter Chloë Mason, have since been agitating to have her name cleared.
