Almost a THIRD of Tory House of Lords peers voted through David Cameron’s NHS privatisation laws

House of Lords: Almost a third of Tory peers voted for the NHS reforms

Almost a third of the Tory peers who voted David Cameron’s NHS privatisation laws through have links to private health-care, the Mirror can reveal.

The revelation has intensified pressure yet further for Upper House reform after the resignation of shamed drugs and hookers baron John Sewel.

A total of 75 Tory Lords who helped to pass the Health and Social Care Act are connected to private health firms.

They include directors and shareholders and were identified in a dossier by Unite.

Unite general secretary Len McCluskey said: “This betrayal and privatisation of our NHS is a scandal for our democracy.
